About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Market Public Affairs to serve as the senior-most leader in this domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing and protecting the company's reputation, mission, and business objectives through a wide range of activities, including integrated communications, media relations, community affairs, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a strategic leader with a minimum of 15 years' experience in public affairs and a Bachelor's degree. The Vice President will be the primary advisor to market leadership, ensuring that enterprise public affairs priorities are effectively translated into market strategies and that local market realities inform enterprise decision-making. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Market Public Affairs include serving as a trusted advisor to the Regional President and market leadership team, leading market-based public affairs teams, and coordinating public affairs activities to ensure a unified approach. The role also involves overseeing market media relations, community affairs, and local government relations, and maintaining strong relationships with various external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading integrated public affairs functions within large, complex organizations, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and its stakeholder environments. Experience in highly regulated industries, particularly healthcare, and a background in represented labor environments, are strongly preferred. The Vice President will be expected to balance enterprise consistency with local relevance, operate as both a strategic counselor and operational leader, and ensure the company maintains a visible, trusted, and credible presence in the communities it serves.
