Maintenance MechanicThe Maintenance Mechanic directly supports daily plant productivity and operations by ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are maintained. This position performs routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on all food processing and packaging equipment.Responsibilities:Responsible to know, understand, and comply with all Joseph's Pasta Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Human Safety rules and regulations.Adheres to and communicates all operational and/or safety issues to maintenance or operations supervision to avoid accidents and unnecessary downtime.Required to use proper safety gear and practices when performing assigned tasks.Conducts daily equipment inspections to ensure proper functionality. Tasks include but not limited to machine disassembly, reassembly, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement of malfunctioning partsProvides regulatory and preventive maintenance of machinery to improve and sustain efficiency, quality and operations.Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow team members and other departmentsAttend any training as requiredPerforms any other job-related duties as requested by maintenance or production supervision.Reports To: Maintenance ManagerSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneSkills/Experience/Education:3-5 years of related work in an industrial environment in a mechanical or related positionMechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems repairGood organizational skills and an ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systemsUnderstanding and completion of corrective and preventative maintenance procedures.Ability to work within cross-functional teamsExcellent communication skillsMust exhibit professionalism and maturity and display desire to succeed, be self-motivated and proactive requiredWorking knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, SSOP, GMP's, LOTO and other guidelinesHigh School Diploma / GED requiredDegree from a vocational school/college in mechanical or electrical field preferred.Flexibility to work on weekends and overtimeMust have basic math and computer skills.I have read the Essential Elements - Job Functions Assessment - Job Requirements and I can meet these essential requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.Employee Signature DateJob Descriptions are not intended to be exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills or efforts.
