The Contracting Manager oversees the Contracting Specialists with the goal of ensuring excellent contract negotiation, managed care expertise, and implementation of new initiatives for the purpose of client satisfaction and retention. The Supervisor of Contracting reports to the Director of Contracting.

Key Results Area

• Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support for their professional growth.

• Ensure the team has easy access to training tools and resources throughout their tenure.

• Ensure the Contracting Specialists are fully educated and aware of leadership expectations for their role.

• Ensure the team is meeting their KPIs and leadership expectations in contracting volume, customer service, and timely completion of contracts and other assigned projects.

• Hold monthly 1:1 with all team members to provide feedback on KPI goals, development,

• and areas for improvement.

• Complete annual reviews with employees as directed by the HR department.

• Participate in team building and employee appreciation activities arranged by HR.

• Notify human resources regarding any team member’s performance concerns within 48 hours.

• Initiate and follow the warning and termination process as established by HR.

• Foster a positive working environment for employees where they feel supported to meet and

• exceed Guided Care’s retention goal.

• Approve PTO requests from team members, remaining compliant with the company's 5-day

• policy. Arrange PTO so that the team is not understaffed at any time and arranging proper coverage.

• Foster a collaborative work environment between the contracting team and the other Guided Care divisions.

• Join and lead client and insurance meetings as needed to support the contracting specialist and present Guided Cares’ expertise.

• Research and work to engage with payers to clear roadblocks that are hindering success in obtaining contracts across multiple clients or employees.

• Create strong working relationships with payers to maintain Guided Cares' reputation as a strategic and valuable 3rd party consulting company.

• Ensure your team is completing and sending out the scheduled client update reports on a monthly cadence with the necessary detail and professionalism.

• Assist in updating and having team update Guided Care’s database reports, including Guide for MCO Processes, Managed Care Org listing, and MCO reps.

• Regularly review denial logs to ensure team members are up to date on reviewing opportunities

• to obtain previously denied contracts.

• Respond to client emails and requests by the end of business day.

• Ability to professionally deal with upset or difficult clients, swiftly addressing concerns brought to attention.

• Ensure assigned quarterly business reviews are completed professionally, and completely according to the cadence established, to ensure continuous client retention and showcase of Contracting service value add.

• Evaluate and assess personal performance on a routine basis.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment

• Independent and self-motivated.

• Innovative and detail-oriented professional with strong research and organizational skills.

• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Strong time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Solid collaborative skills with team and clients.

• Ability to work remotely and autonomously.

• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.

• Demonstrate discretion, sensitivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Quality camera to be used when joining internal and client meetings scheduled via Zoom or Teams or other video meeting platforms. When participating, focus on the matter at hand.

• Refrains from actively performing other duties even if work-related.

• Joins scheduled client meetings timely, best practice 3 minutes prior to meeting time, to ensure best self and company representation.

• Microsoft Office proficiency, with the aptitude to learn new programs
