Place des Fêtes is seeking experienced, thoughtful, and passionate Bartenders to join our team in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Place des Fêtes is a wine bar and restaurant from Redwood Hospitality, the team behind Michelin-starred Oxalis, Cafe Mado, Golden Ratio, and Laurel Bakery. Recognized as one of The New York Times' 100 Best Restaurants in New York City in 2025, Place des Fêtes serves ingredient-driven food centered around sustainable seafood and locally sourced produce, alongside a distinctive and evolving selection of natural wines.

We are looking for Bartenders who see hospitality as a craft and want to contribute to the continued growth of an ambitious restaurant. Our goal is to build a dining room capable of delivering Michelin-level hospitality: warm and personal, but also precise, knowledgeable, consistent, and deeply attentive to the details of each guest's experience.

The Role

Our Bartenders are expected to create genuine connections with guests while confidently guiding them through the food and wine programs. The right candidate is curious, engaged, organized, and able to balance warmth with strong technical service.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming service
• Guiding guests through the menu and helping them build a thoughtful, balanced experience
• Speaking confidently about ingredients, preparations, sustainable seafood, and seasonal produce
• Learning and communicating an evolving natural-wine program
• Maintaining strong awareness of pacing, table maintenance, allergies, special occasions, and guest preferences
• Working closely with captains, managers, the kitchen, and the beverage team throughout service
• Following detailed steps of service while remaining natural and responsive with guests
• Arriving prepared, participating actively in pre-shift education, and contributing positively to the team
• Taking ownership of mistakes, responding well to feedback, and continually working to improve

What We're Looking For

• At least two years of bartending experience in a restaurant or wine bar, or a strong professional background in wine and beverage
• Genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, food, and wine
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent standards
• The ability to remain composed, organized, and communicative during busy services
• Curiosity about natural wine, sustainable seafood, and ingredient-driven cooking
• A collaborative mindset and an understanding that excellent service depends on supporting the entire team
• A desire to learn, accept coaching, and grow within an ambitious restaurant environment

Natural-wine knowledge is strongly preferred, but we are also interested in candidates with a solid foundation, real curiosity, and the commitment to develop.

Compensation: Hourly ($11.35) plus tips
