About the Position

We are seeking a dependable CDL-A Yard Switcher to support operations in Livonia, Michigan. The driver will be responsible for safely switching trailers in the yard, moving equipment as directed, and supporting daily yard operations.

Pay & Schedule Details

Pay: $25/hr
Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- Occasional weekends when needed

Job Details

Route Type: Local
Freight: No Touch
Equipment: Yard Switcher
Handling: Yard operations and trailer movement

Key Responsibilities

Safely move and switch trailers within the yard.
Position trailers at dock doors and staging areas as needed.
Perform yard checks and maintain awareness of trailer locations.
Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Maintain a professional and dependable work ethic.

Minimum Requirements

1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
Valid CDL Class A license required.
Yard switching or tractor-trailer experience preferred.
Must be safety-focused, reliable, and able to work independently.
