Job Description:

• We are seeking a motivated Field Recruiter to support hiring efforts for skilled trades, construction, and field-based positions. This is a highly relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys being out in the community, connecting with candidates face-to-face, and taking ownership of the recruiting process.
• The ideal candidate is personable, driven, comfortable working independently, and familiar with the construction, trades, industrial, or other blue-collar environments. A strong sales or business development mindset is highly valued. This is a field-focused position rather than a traditional corporate recruiting role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead recruiting activities for high-volume field, skilled trade, craft, and construction openings.
• Develop candidate pipelines using job boards, referrals, networking, community outreach, and industry connections.
• Represent the organization at career fairs, trade schools, hiring events, and other local recruiting opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with workforce development programs, trade organizations, and community partners.
• Conduct initial conversations and interviews to evaluate candidates' backgrounds, skills, interest, availability, and suitability for open positions.
• Act as a primary point of contact for applicants throughout the hiring process, providing consistent communication from initial contact through onboarding.
• Work directly with field leadership, hiring managers, and HR to understand staffing priorities and address recruiting needs.
• Take ownership of daily recruiting activities, including scheduling, outreach, follow-up, and candidate engagement.
• Keep applicant tracking systems, recruiting records, and pipeline reports accurate and current.
• Monitor recruiting activity and provide updates regarding open positions, candidate flow, hiring progress, and staffing challenges.
• Assist with offer coordination and new-hire onboarding in partnership with HR and operations.
• Help support new employees during their first 30-90 days to encourage successful integration and retention.
• Identify obstacles affecting hiring and recommend practical ways to improve candidate flow, hiring speed, retention, and recruiting event results.

Qualifications :

• Approximately 3 years of experience in construction, skilled trades, industrial recruiting, staffing, sales, business development, or a closely related environment.
• Experience recruiting for trades, construction, industrial, or other field-based positions is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
• Strong sales, prospecting, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable engaging candidates and building relationships in person and in field environments.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing priorities with limited day-to-day oversight.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple openings and candidate pipelines simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, HR platforms, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Ability to travel between job sites and recruiting locations throughout the workday.
• Valid driving status with no restrictions that would interfere with required business travel.
• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.

Additional Details : This is an on-site, field-oriented opportunity and is not a remote position. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending time at construction sites and other recruiting locations, interacting directly with field personnel and prospective employees. The role is well suited for someone who is energetic, personable, competitive, and motivated by measurable results. Recruiting experience is helpful, but candidates with strong sales experience and a solid understanding of construction or skilled-trade environments may also be considered.
