Interventional Technologist II - FT - Days - $20K Sign on Bonus - JDCH

Summary Performs all phases of interventional and neuro‑interventional radiologic examinations on pediatric, congenital and/or adult patients in the CVIS in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Shift: 7AM-5:30PM, 4 days per week, weekend on call. Responsibilities Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning, preparing procedural/testing sites, and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Prepares equipment and supplies including sterile trays; selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Demonstrates ability to cover call by performing all functions required after hours. Assists with clerical and non‑technical duties necessary to department operations, documents procedures into department/hospital information systems, records billing, edits statistical information in the radiology information system, post‑processes and archives images to PACS, maintains and cleans patient care equipment per infection control standards, and evaluates inventory levels to ensure par stock suitable for division. Assists physicians with performing diagnostic and vascular interventional procedures (utilizing surgical sterile technique); reviews results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues. Must be able to do regular on‑call schedule and work irregular shifts if needed; respond to emergent and unexpected situations. Required work experience: Minimum one (1) year experience. Preferred: ACLS Certification within 6 months; for Memorial Regional Hospital, ACLS within 6 months; for Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, ACLS and PALS within 6 months. Graduate of an AMA approved accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
