QI Program Specialist: Adoptions Part-Time

Job Summary This part-time role is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality and compliance of adoption services within the Broward County/ ChildNet Adoptions program. This role ensures adherence to permanency standards, supports performance improvement initiatives, and promotes timely adoption finalization through data analysis, coaching, and collaboration with program leadership. This position works 20 hours per week with a hybrid remote and in-office work schedule. In addition to the duties and requirements listed below, YFA expects employees to be committed to incorporating principles of trauma-informed care in all areas of service delivery. Commitment to these principles is demonstrated through active participation in agency-required trainings, use of trauma-informed practices, and understanding that trauma-informed environments require cultural sensitivity and an emphasis on a safe and respectful environment for all. Essential Functions Maintain broad knowledge and experience with Child Welfare Case Management and Adoptions. Establish and maintain practices necessary to assure compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement initiatives for Child Welfare Adoption Services in Broward County. Access protected health information (PHI) with required training and authorization. Collect and analyze data while identifying trends and patterns. Problem solve and determine successful means of attaining outcomes. Present outcomes and findings to large or small groups and respond to the varied group dynamics that may arise. Arrive/report to work on time and ready to work. Abide by principles of EEO compliance and a workplace of dignity and respect. Abide by core values and mission statement of the agency. Work cooperatively in a group/team setting. EMPLOYEES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM OTHER JOB RELATED MARGINAL DUTIES AS REQUIRED*** Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree, 3+ years Child Welfare Adoption experience, and Child Welfare certification. Child Welfare Adoption Supervisory experience preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and a high level of autonomy. Must be able to independently travel to the Broward County ChildNet Adoption program as needed. Must maintain proficient working knowledge of MicroSoft 365 Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of tracking and measurement tools. Preferred knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed principles and practices, including the importance of creating a safe environment, fostering trust, promoting collaboration, and empowering individuals. Physical Requirements Ability to independently travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed; ability to lift 30 pounds, bend, stand and sit for extended periods of time. Specific job responsibilities and goals include but are not limited to Monitor performance indicators and success metrics for Broward County Adoptions using FSFN reporting, Mindshare, CCWIS, or other systems developed. Attend and actively participate in Quality Improvement Team meetings as well as ChildNet Adoption program meetings. Review Adoption Specialists’ and Supervisors’ documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to permanency directives, with a focus on timely achievement of adoption finalization goals. Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions; monitor progress until sustained improvement is achieved. Track and report progress on external corrective actions and performance improvement plans to the Vice President of Child Welfare and Senior Vice President of Quality Improvement and Compliance. Escalate identified concerns, risks, and trends to Program Leadership as well as Vice President of Child Welfare and Senior Vice President of Quality Improvement and Compliance. Provide targeted quality coaching and one-on-one support to new and existing staff; communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors. Identify, analyze, and address data integrity issues, ensuring accuracy and reliability of reporting systems. Collaborate with leadership to support continuous quality improvement initiatives across the adoption program.
