Licensed Practical Nurse - Orthopedics Center

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider. CMH is looking for a LPN to join our newly expanded Orthopedics Center opening in early June 2026. This orthopedic unit is designed to better meet the needs of our growing patient community while enhancing care in Chenango County. Sign-on Incentive Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500. Early-career candidates may qualify for up to $12,500 in tuition forgiveness. Education / Experience Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing. License / Certification Minimum Required: Current New York State Practical Nurse License, a Limited Permit, or ability to practice within the 90‑day grace period allowed by New York State guidelines. Preferred: Basic Skills Certifications (CPR). Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air‑conditioned and heated. Frequent walking, standing, bending, pushing, and lifting. Fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. PPE (eyewear, masks, face shields, shoe covers, and gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies. Age of Patients Served All age groups. HIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient Information Clinical – Access to patient information that is not restricted (an example of restricted information is ARU) – Level 3.
