PSYCHIATRIST CLINICAL GRADUATE, MDH

Psychiatrist Clinical Graduate Grade: PSYC 0001 Location: Maryland Department of Health, Multiple locations within Central Maryland (Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, St. Mary's Counties, and Baltimore City). Main Purpose: Provide clinical psychiatric services to patients who are mentally ill, chronically ill, or developmentally disabled, or who are in need of medical and preventive treatment. The position is located at 24/7 MDH facilities in Central Maryland. Incumbents do not supervise other psychiatrists but may supervise health care support staff. The position requires participation in 24/7 on‑call psychiatric coverage on a monthly basis. Responsibilities: Deliver clinical psychiatric care, evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment plans, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in nightly 24/7 coverage. Minimum Qualifications: Education and experience determined by the Maryland Board of Physicians. Licenses, Registrations and Certifications: Must be eligible for Certification in Psychiatry from the Maryland Board of Physicians within 18 months after hire; failure will result in termination. Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law by date of hire; a current medical license must be provided.
