Mammography Technologist

Role Mammography Technologist responsible for performing mammography procedures in accordance with standards, policies, and regulations. Key Responsibilities Review patient history, schedule appointments, educate patients, prepare and administer contrast media or medications, and monitor patient condition. Assist physicians with interventional procedures like fine needle aspiration and needle localization. Prepare equipment, select imaging parameters, perform safety checks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure MQSA compliance. Position patients, perform imaging, analyze results, address image quality issues, and report scan findings. Apply critical thinking and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as RT and certified in Mammography (ARRT), with additional state licensure if required. BLS certification from recognized organizations, valid through sixty days of hire. Key Duties Conduct mammography exams, ensure image quality, assist with interventional procedures, maintain safety standards, and educate patients to ensure understanding and cooperation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
