Accounting Manager

We're seeking an Accounting Manager in Cincinnati, OH to oversee financial operations and job costing for a growing mechanical construction and service business.

Impact
- Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Provide clear insights into project margins and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules.
- Improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and data integrity.
- Support leadership with detailed budget forecasts and variance analysis.

Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Develop and post accurate WIP entries while analyzing cost-to-complete estimates.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, fixed assets, and accruals.
- Oversee the production of revenue roll-forward and cash flow reports.
- Support job costing by reviewing labor and material allocations for accuracy.
- Partner with operations and project managers to resolve billing or cost discrepancies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist with sales tax compliance filings.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks and improve ERP system workflows.
