Receiving Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates and supervises the activities of all warehouse and receiving team members on property.
• Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and food and beverage specifications.
• Ensures the integrity of all supplies delivered to the receiving dock.
• Assists the Receiving and Warehouse Manager with the creation and implementation of a computerized itemization of all goods and supplies received and stored on property.
• Cooperates with accounts payable team members in the verification of orders received.
• Compiles statistical data for reporting purposes.
• Maintains all files in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department.
• Directs Receiving Clerks to prepare boxes for shipment, and maintains records of all shipments sent out, prepares shipments as needed.
• Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve warehouse and receiving disputes.
• Attaches the invoice to purchase order and indicates the quantity received, number of boxes, date received, invoice number, and any other pertinent information.
• Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Create and utilize a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy through both formal and informal feedback as well as constant communication
• Directly supervises the activities of the Warehouse Person and Receiving Clerks.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in Warehouse and Receiving preferred.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
