Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Production Supervisor (1st Shift)We are looking for a Production Supervisor (1st Shift) who will provide immediate management to a team of approximately 40+ employees in our Final Assembly area. You will work onsite at our Mequon, WI plant and report to the Senior Production Supervisor. Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm with occasional SaturdaysYour Responsibilities:Manage about 40 employees across 1st shift in final assembly department.Maintain and enforce safe work practices.Select and hire employees and provide ongoing performance monitoring.Establish and implement employee training programs and schedules.Implement company procedures for disciplinary policies.Perform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests.Administer and maintain employee time at work records and systems.Receive predetermined assignments subject to a moderate level of control and review.Communicate daily production requirements and set targets based on capacity.Plan and coordinate production order transitions and inventory transactions within the Plant between shifts and between manufacturing departments.Communicate production order status, warehouse daily priorities and results at frequent intervals.Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement goals.Lead continuous improvement projects, i.e. Kaizen events, A3 Projects.Understand and maintain complex manufacturing order management systems related to material movement.The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Typically requires no previous management experience.Bachelor's degree in Business (Management, Operations, Supply Chain) or related field of study.Prefer 1+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Working knowledge of capacity and production planning tools and techniques.What We Offer:Health Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision401kPaid Time offParental and Caregiver LeaveFlexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.To learn more about our benefits package, please visit at Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
