Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Part-time, 2 - 12 hour shifts per week, Night shift, 1900-0730 with weekend rotation. Holiday coverage required.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred.
• Must hold and maintain a Registered Nursing license in Wisconsin.
• AHA BLS within 1 month of hire.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.
• ALSO within 1 year of hire.
• STABLE within 1 year of hire.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire.
• 0 years of experience required; less than 1 year preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care for maternal and newborn patients.
• Completes initial nursing histories, assesses conditions, and develops plan of care.
• Triage patient care based on presenting symptoms.
• Accurately administers medications and assesses labor progression.
• Manages induction of labor and responds to medical emergencies.
• Performs and interprets fetal heart monitoring.
• Assesses newborn conditions and recognizes situations requiring higher levels of care.
• Conducts neonatal resuscitation and monitors for adverse events.
• Promotes patient education and involvement in newborn care.
• Communicates effectively with care teams.
