Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Energy/AEC Consulting Firm Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year (plus bonuses) We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in commissioning and retro‑commissioning new and existing facilities. The successful candidate will meet with clients and contractors, possess strong technical skills, and perform equipment performance testing. Experience in commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and related controls is required. Background in BAS/BMS/control systems testing and integration is considered an advantage. Projects include mid‑size to large commercial projects such as new buildings and existing facility upgrades. Responsibilities Lead and execute commissioning projects from initiation through close‑out. Conduct condition assessments and energy audits for existing facilities. Support development of innovative energy concepts for new and existing buildings. Provide project management and coordination on small‑ and medium‑size projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule. Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and project team members. Produce summary reports and presentations and deliver them to clients, multidisciplinary project teams, and other relevant parties. Support business development activities including networking at industry events, maintaining client relationships, and preparing proposals. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering. 3‑5+ years of commissioning/energy‑related experience. Working knowledge of electrical building systems, lighting, power, BAS, and controls systems. Certifications desired: EIT, PE, CEM, CCP, CPMP, BEAP, LEED AP (highly preferred but not required).
