Automotive Technician (A or B+ Level) – $100k+ Annual Potential Location: Smithfield, NC Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM Pay Rate: $25 – $45/hr (Flat Rate) Earning Potential: $70K – $100K+ annually Pay Schedule: Weekly Position Summary Promotive is hiring experienced Automotive Technicians (A or B+ Level) for a well-established, high-volume shop in Smithfield, NC ! This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity offering strong pay, consistent workflow, and a family-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on domestic, Asian, and some European vehicles Complete brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs Handle light to advanced diagnostics depending on experience level Perform maintenance services including fluid flushes, filters, and inspections Accurately document repairs and communicate findings with service advisors Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction Qualifications 3+ years of experience (B+ Level) or 4+ years (A Level) as an automotive technician Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (especially for A Level candidates) Experience working in an independent repair shop environment preferred Ase certifications are preferred but not required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Compensation & Benefits Flat Rate Pay: B Level: $25 – $35/hr Depending on Experience A Level: $40 – $45/hr Depending on Experience Weekly pay Earning potential up to $100K+ annually Medical insurance (50% employer-paid for employee) Optional dental and vision coverage IRA with 3% employer match Paid time off (1 week after year one, 2 weeks after year two) 7 paid holidays (after 1 year) Paid training and ongoing development Tool relocation assistance available Uniforms provided About the Shop Family-owned and operated with a strong team-first culture Established, high-volume shop with a goal of ~90 vehicles per week 13-bay facility with 10 lifts and modern equipment Climate-controlled shop (heat & A/C) Equipped with advanced diagnostic tools (Autel, Bosch) Alignment rack and full tire service capabilities Strong leadership and coaching through industry training programs Balanced vehicle mix: domestic, Asian, and light Euro Supportive environment with team-building events and long-term career growth Ready to join a shop where you can turn hours, grow your skills, and be part of a true team?
