Employee Benefits Account Manager

This is a fulltime position for our Albany, New York working 37.50 hours a week. M-F 8:30am-4:00pm ANNUAL SALARY COMPENSATION: $55,000-$65,000 Are you a client-focused insurance professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional service? We are seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team and provide dedicated, high-quality service to our Life & Health clients. In this role, you will work closely with producers and account managers to support renewals, client communications, paperwork, proposals, and day-to-day service needs. Your efforts will play an important role in strengthening client relationships, improving retention, and creating opportunities for continued growth. What You'll Do Partner with Employee Benefits producers and account managers to service an assigned book of business. Begin renewal activities approximately 90 days in advance , reviewing upcoming renewals and identifying client needs. Contact clients prior to renewal to identify changes in demographics, benefit needs, and premium concerns. Prepare renewal and proposal spreadsheets and provide producers/account managers with timely information. Follow up with clients regarding renewal paperwork, payments, decisions, and outstanding items. Assist with customer service inquiries involving billing, claims, and other account-related needs. Prepare and send broker-of-record and termination letters. Process applications and change forms, verify accuracy, and forward documentation to carriers. Maintain accurate and detailed client records within the agency management system. Maintain annual client-list spreadsheets and ensure account information remains current. Communicate effectively with carriers, clients, producers, account managers, and internal departments. Keep the broker informed of important account activities and document communications appropriately. Assist with various Employee Benefits administrative projects and provide additional administrative support as needed. You should possess: Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong technology and time-management skills Exceptional attention to detail and organization The ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities A professional, patient, and courteous communication style Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AMS360. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team A current New York State Health & Life license.
