Kitten Krazy Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team in Medina, OH! This is an exciting opportunity to do what you love every day in a fun, cat-only environment where your expertise truly makes a difference. If you would be dedicated to providing top-notch care for our cats and kittens while preparing them for adoption, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Process new intakes, triage, and physical assessments
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
- Assist with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-op care under the supervision of our Veterinarians
- Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment such as ultrasound machines, anesthesia machines, centrifuge, autoclave, etc.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in software
- Main person responsible for the medical care and welfare of all cats and kittens at Kitten Krazy under the supervision of the Executive Director and/or Veterinarian(s)
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of Ohio with at least three (3) years of experience
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and dental procedures
- Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, friendly demeanor, able to work with a large volunteer base as well as the Executive Director and Veterinarian(s)
- Ability to handle and restrain our cats in a safe and humane manner
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team
