Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

• Active Georgia Special Education Certification, with relevant endorsements for adaptive and general curriculums
• Background in teaching or assisting in self-contained and/or inclusive classrooms, preferably with students on the autism spectrum

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, engaging effectively with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability and resourcefulness when responding to varying student needs

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering instruction in a self-contained classroom at the elementary level for students with significant physical and academic challenges, utilizing specialized strategies and adaptive tools
• Facilitating access and meaningful participation for students at the middle school level through inclusion, small-group, and resource room instruction
• Designing individualized education plans (IEPs) and updating progress in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards
• Collaborating closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure holistic support
• Employing evidence-based interventions and documenting student growth with accuracy
• Participating in ongoing professional development provided by the district
