Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Georgia Special Education Teaching License with proper endorsements (Adaptive SPED and/or SPED General Curriculum)
- Experience teaching students in self-contained and inclusion settings, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders
- Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet diverse physical and academic needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom that maintains high expectations and positive supports for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- At the elementary level: Lead a self-contained classroom for students with significant needs, focusing on adaptive curriculum implementation and daily living skills
- At the middle school level: Deliver instruction and support in an inclusion setting or small group resource format, adapting lessons as needed to serve students with autism
- Develop, implement, and revise IEPs in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and report outcomes to stakeholders
- Support classroom routines, student management, and individualized interventions tailored to each student’s abilities and needs
