Mygatts in Aransas Pass, a family-owned and operated business, is seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team. This role offers stable weekday hours and involves working on a variety of vehicle repair projects with a focus on general repairs and specialized systems. The ideal candidate will have experience using advanced diagnostic equipment and general automotive tools to maintain and repair vehicles efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and advanced computer tools
- Conduct engine repairs and brake system maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical vehicle systems
- Replace parts as needed and ensure quality repairs
- Interact positively with customers, explaining repairs and maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in automotive repair
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge in engine repair, brake systems, diagnostics, and electrical systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
