Hybrid work flexibility and growth opportunities await.Job DescriptionHedge Fund Operations Team Leader OverviewThe Hedge Fund Operations Team Leader will oversee post-trade operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and FX markets.This leadership role involves managing a team, driving operational excellence, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and remote flexibility.You will play a key role in enhancing operational controls and streamlining workflows through technology and automation initiatives.This role requires a strong understanding of trade lifecycle events and reconciliation practices.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multi-asset operations within financial services.This is an opportunity to contribute to the growth and scalability of a leading hedge fund's operations team.Hedge Fund Operations Team Leader Key Responsibilities & DutiesLead and manage a team of operations professionals, overseeing trade support, reconciliation, and settlements functions.Ensure accuracy and timeliness in post-trade processing across multiple asset classes, maintaining a strong control environment.Oversee daily trade settlement processes, coordinating with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties.Direct cash, position, and trade reconciliations, resolving exceptions promptly.Collaborate with Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk, and Technology teams to address complex trade and settlement issues.Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Partner with Technology to implement automation initiatives, reducing operational risk and enhancing efficiency.Maintain compliance with regulatory and audit requirements, updating operational procedures as needed.Prepare and present operational metrics and updates to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.Hedge Fund Operations Team Leader Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required.10+ years of experience in operations or middle office roles within financial services, including team management.Extensive knowledge of post-trade processing across equities, fixed income, OTC derivatives, FX, and futures.Proficiency with industry platforms such as Geneva, Bloomberg AIM, DUCO, and MarkitWire.Strong analytical skills and experience building scalable processes and controls.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior management and external stakeholders effectively.Proven ability to drive operational improvements and manage complex workflows in a fast-paced environment.Experience with regulatory compliance and audit processes in financial operations.
