Tech Support Intern - Terminal Ops & Deployment (Mandarin)

Technical Support Intern - Role Summary This is a fully onsite technical support internship located at our Houston office. The internship lasts approximately 2 months or longer, depending on project progress. The intern will work 20‑25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role focuses on support for a partner migration project, including device handling, inventory tracking and basic deployment support. A lunch and transportation allowance will be provided. Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities Learn and understand the basic characteristics and use cases of common payment terminals and PIN pads (PAX, Dejavoo, Valor, etc.) to support inventory and deployment operations. Assist with large‑scale terminal reprogramming projects related to MID changes and account migrations. Support inventory management in the Houston office, including tracking device status, serial numbers, and movement. Become familiar with device‑related CRM and internal systems, and assist with simple deployment and replacement requests. Learn the basic operation and configuration of payment devices, and help with entry‑level troubleshooting tasks. Assist in processing merchant applications and entering client information into internal systems. Provide technical assistance for inbound questions related to terminal hardware under supervision. Help ensure deployment tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines. Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E‑Verify employer. Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin‑Chinese is required, both written and verbal. Must be currently pursuing or have graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a STEM field. Strong ownership mindset with a proactive, can‑do attitude. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, operational environment. Good communication skills and willingness to learn technical concepts. Able to take initiative and solve problems with guidance. Detail‑oriented and able to complete tasks before deadlines. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficient in MS Excel and Word (tracking, documentation, basic reporting). Compensation This is an unpaid internship. A lunch and transportation allowance will be provided.
