Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year acute care experience in a hospital setting. Must have experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6. License: Active state LVN/LPN license or compact license. Certifications: BLS through AHA, IV certification or proof of education and competency in IV therapy skills. Must-Have: - Acute care experience in a hospital setting. - Epic charting experience. - Ability to float as required. - Availability to work every other weekend and holiday. Description: This is a winter job opportunity for a 13-week contract. The position involves working in a Medical Surgical Renal Unit. Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) settings is also acceptable. The unit is fast-paced, with a patient population including individuals with chronic and acute renal failure, diabetes, urology issues, wound care, and general medical-surgical patients. The unit consists of 22 beds and offers interdisciplinary support from various services. Candidates will be required to float to other units based on staffing needs. Travelers should be comfortable floating without restrictions or special requests. All applications will be reviewed by management.
