About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Investment Officer (DCIO) to join its Board of Pensions and Retirement. The DCIO will serve as the second-ranking member of the Investment Office, playing a pivotal role in the management and oversight of the Fund. This includes supporting the Chief Investment Officer in the development and execution of the Fund's investment strategy, leading the sourcing, due diligence, and monitoring of external investment managers, and overseeing portfolio risk management and performance measurement. The successful candidate will be a seasoned institutional investor with a minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably with a public pension fund or other institutional asset owner, and will be responsible for ensuring that the Fund's investment activities comply with all relevant laws, policies, and fiduciary standards. Applicants for the DCIO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with an advanced degree preferred, and hold a CFA, CAIA, or other relevant professional designation. The role requires a deep knowledge of institutional investment management, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection across various asset classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of investment risk management, performance measurement, and attribution methodologies, as well as experience in supervising and developing investment professionals. Essential skills include excellent analytical and quantitative abilities, outstanding communication skills, and a demonstrated leadership ability. The DCIO will also be expected to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
