Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance in the manufacturing center, focusing on preventive maintenance and repairs of mainline equipment that support shearing, forging, heat treating, and assembly processes. This role involves maintaining overhead doors, plumbing, lighting, hoists, and parts handling systems. A key focus is making improvements to manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance uptime and efficiency. The lead technician will oversee two technicians on the 2nd shift and two on the 3rd shift, while also actively participating in hands-on work. This position requires strong documentation skills, the ability to organize parts/tool rooms, and the capability to guide other technicians effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mainline equipment.
• Maintain and repair overhead doors, plumbing, lighting, hoists, and parts handling systems.
• Implement improvements to manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Supervise and guide technicians on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
• Document and organize parts/tool rooms.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Work with DC drives, AC frequency drives, programmable controllers, and personal computers.
• Perform machine shop and welding/fabrication tasks for repairs and equipment improvements.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Troubleshooting and repairing skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with DC drives, AC frequency drives, programmable controllers, and personal computers.
• Machine shop and welding/fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and use a multimeter for troubleshooting 480V and control wiring.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical troubleshooting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Harrisburg, PA.

The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $76960.00/yr.

Opportunity for OT Direct hire Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, and 401K match 50% up to the first 3% Vacation - 1st year is prorated up to 10 days and 2nd year get 80 hours and increase after certain marks of service 11 holidays - 1 floating Perfect attendance award for additional days off Have something in place called the step program which is a pay advancement program where if someone isn't at the mid point of pay they will get increases every 3 months till they reach it and then received yearly merit increases For overtime - all hours over 40 are counted as OT no matter if it was vacation, holiday etc. Huge selling point as not many companies do this.

This is a fully onsite position in Harrisburg,PA.
