Are you ready to maximize your potential with us?The PositionThe Senior Application Architect leads the team of skilled technical experts to design, develop and implement Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions that support digital transformation efforts and meet the organization's business goals in a changing market. The candidate should provide solutions with functional components that perform well and operate smoothly and can handle unexpected technical problems effectively. If there are critical production issues, the candidate leads the process of identifying the issue, analysing the cause, designing and implementing the solution until the issue is fixed.RelationshipsThis position reports to Associate Director of Business Applications in Information Technology and collaborate with development teams for solution delivery.Essential FunctionsEngages stakeholders marketing teams to understand the needs of business strategies, performance to identify required technical capabilities and solutions at enterprise and AEM level as well as all downstream system impactsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into scalable and flexible AEM solutionsDevelop and maintain AEM technical design documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data models and integration specificationsWork closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AEM with other enterprise systems and third-party applicationsLead the design and architecture of required AEM solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practicesCollaborate with on-site and off-shore technical resources and lead technical design sessions with system technical leads, provide guidance on best design practices as well as critical business test scenarios and test data preparation to build the solution rightDrive innovation and continuous improvement in AEM development processes and methodologiesParticipate in code reviews, performance tuning and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality AEM implementationsProactively monitors AEM solution to ensure compliance with SOP, audit, security and industry best practicesStay current with AEM platform updates, new features and industry best practices and provide recommendations for platform enhancementsMentor and coach junior AEM developers, contributing to their professional growth and skill developmentPhysical Requirements10-20% overnight travel required.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field required. Solid relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements if appropriate8 years of experience in software development required, with at least 5 years focused on AEM development and architectureExtensive hands-on experience with AEM, including AEM Sites, AEM Assets and AEM FormsExperience leveraging agentic coding and AI-assisted software engineering practices within AEM development, with demonstrated ability to operate effectively in an agentic development model and use these capabilities to improve AEM engineering productivity, quality, and delivery efficiency.Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including AEM components, templates, workflows and OSGi frameworkProficiency in Java, J2EE and related web technologiesExperience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworksSolid understanding of integration patterns, RESTful APIs and microservices architectureExpertise in AEM deployment strategies, performance optimization and scalabilityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAEM certifications such as Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) or Adobe Certified Architect (ACA) are a plusKnowledge of operating systems, relational database architectures, query languages and interface, standard programming environments, data integration tools, application integration solutions and web-based information solutionsKnowledge of testing methods and tools for web technologiesThe base compensation range for this position is $120,300 to $222,600. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
