Financial ControllerSilverton Casino LLC - Las Vegas, NV 89139OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift Day Category AccountingDescriptionGeneral Summary of Job Duties: It is the responsibility of the Financial Controller to oversee and administer all aspects and functionality of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, and Payroll departments.Principle Responsibilities and Duties:Oversee and provide support to Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Control, and Payroll departments.Manage and direct the month-end closing of the accounting records.Review supporting documentation for balance sheet accounts.Produce internal financial statements for management.Review tax returns submitted to governmental agencies.Respond to questions and requests from Internal/External Auditors and other regulatory agencies.Review and sign checks as requested.Participate in the annual budgeting process.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.Other duties as assigned.General Job Responsibilities and Duties:Maintain a high quality of Guest Service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards.Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.Maintain an open line of communication with coworkers.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.QualificationsTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following Silverton Values:Character: Always do the right thing and treat everyone with dignity and respect.Collaboration: Celebrate Diverse ideas, thoughts and talents.Care: Be KIND to yourself and each other.Fun: Our guests are here to have FUN, so we should have FUN, too!Excellence: Be Amazing!Skills, Education, & Other Requirements:Ability to manage employees, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams.Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English.Strong knowledge of accounting and applying GAAP.Ability to work efficiently, independently, cohesively, and consistently producing quality results.Computer literate in Microsoft Windows and Excel applications.Bachelor's degree in accounting or related degree preferred.5-10 years' progressive experience, including holding managerial roles, in the accounting field.Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
