This position ensures safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation services by coordinating with drivers, responding to operational changes, and maintaining efficient routing to support schools, passengers, and company operations.**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*** Develop and maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation routes.* Monitor daily operations and make routing adjustments due to traffic, weather, driver absences, or other operational needs.* Support dispatch operations by communicating route changes and assisting with driver coverage.* Analyze routing data to improve efficiency, reduce mileage, and maximize resource utilization.* Maintain accurate route information, driver assignments, and transportation records.* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, management, and school district personnel.* Ensure all routes comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.* Troubleshoot routing and scheduling issues while providing timely solutions.* Assist with planning routes for new contracts, schools, or service changes.* Provide exceptional customer service while working with internal and external stakeholders.**Education, Experience and Skills*** High school diploma or equivalent required.* 2+ years of dispatching or transportation routing experience **required.*** Experience in school bus transportation or logistics preferred.* Strong knowledge of routing efficiency and transportation operations.* Proficiency with routing and dispatch software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.* Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.* Effective verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to remain calm, think critically, and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with operations staff.**Starting Pay: $35.00 per hour**Marschall Line**Average Pay Rate**35## **Benefits and Total Rewards**We believe in rewarding great people with meaningful benefits that support your health, growth, and long term success.### **Part Time Team Members*** Dental insurance* Vision insurance* Paid training* Annual bonus opportunity* Career development opportunities**This job description outlines the general nature and level of responsibilities associated with this position.
