Make a difference in the lives of students by providing exceptional instruction and support as a Special Education Teacher for a contract assignment. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about helping learners with diverse needs develop their academic and social skills in an inclusive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with students who have a range of learning, emotional, or developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Patience, creativity, and a commitment to fostering student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction in both small group and individual settings, tailored to each student's needs
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in accordance with compliance requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure every student receives comprehensive support
- Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Track and report on student progress, adjusting goals and interventions as needed
- Create a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom environment that encourages engagement and independence
