Speech Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist Delhi HomeCare , part of LHC Group and the Optum family, offers opportunities to help patients and communities. As the Speech Therapist in Home Health, you will assess and evaluate patient care needs related to speech and language disorders, functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Based on these assessments, you will determine treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient well‑being, and evaluate progress. Primary Responsibilities Provide services within the scope of practice defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other health care team members. Evaluate the patient’s level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests; assist the physician in developing the therapy plan of care. Treat patients to communicate effectively by expressing thoughts in accordance with the patient’s condition using acceptable standards of practice. Observe, record, and report to the supervising nurse and/or physician the patient’s response to treatment and changes in the patient’s condition. Instruct the patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in speech therapy techniques they can participate in. Required Qualifications Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence. Current CPR certification. Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation. Pay is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Salary ranges from $70,992 to $106,488 annually for full‑time employment.
