Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Evenings Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in an Emergency Room setting License: Current Indiana or compact RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department Nursing experience - BLS (AHA only) - ACLS (AHA only) - PALS (AHA only) - TNCC or ATCN required - NIHSS strongly preferred Description: The Emergency Department is a verified Level 2 Adult and Pediatric Trauma center. The Emergency Department has a layout consisting of 40 rooms. These include 23 non-monitored single rooms, 13 monitored rooms for 2 patients if needed, and 4 resuscitation bays for critical trauma and medical patients. The unit employs a Team Nursing approach to ensure seamless care delivery. All shifts may be required. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. The dress code for this position is scrubs in Caribbean Blue. Mandatory attendance is required for orientation sessions. Candidates should be prepared for floating to other units or departments if necessary.
