Position NYC Square POS- System Support Specialist – Field (Full‑time, NYC metro) Role Overview This is a field role that involves installing, training, and supporting our POS customers in the dining industry. Candidates will provide on‑site assistance and occasional remote support to restaurant front‑line staff, managers, and decision makers. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Square POS hardware and software at client sites. Train restaurant staff and managers on system use. Provide real‑time troubleshooting and remote support. Travel to client locations with a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license. Adapt quickly to varying client needs and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor. Qualifications Experience managing a restaurant for at least one year (e.g., supervisor or manager). Proficiency in using Square POS in a management capacity. Knowledge of restaurant operations and front/back‑of‑house terminology. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, late evenings, and overnight travel. Must reside within the NYC metro area and have a reliable vehicle with legal insurance. Strong communication skills with the ability to teach groups of staff and stakeholders. Professional demeanor and friendly attitude at all times. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable. Shift Availability Day, night, overnight, and weekend shifts required; 75% travel required.
