How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Support daily living and dignity by assisting patients with personal care and mobility, ensuring they feel comfortable and respected during their hospital stay.

• Be the clinical eyes and ears of the unit by promptly recognizing and reporting changes in a patient’s physical or emotional condition to the nursing team.

• Champion patient safety by expertly assisting with the movement and positioning of patients to prevent injury and promote healing.

• Create a healing environment by maintaining organized, patient-ready rooms and ensuring essential medical equipment is prepared for immediate use.

• Streamline the care journey through accurate documentation of patient activities, ensuring the entire medical team has a clear picture of the patient’s progress.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

• Enrollment in a nursing program preferred.
