Water Mitigation/Restoration - Department Manager

We are seeking an experienced Water Restoration Department Manager to lead and grow our water mitigation and restoration division. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading technicians, overseeing projects from loss to completion, and ensuring quality work, profitability, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily operations of the water restoration department
• Oversee water mitigation projects including emergency response, drying, and documentation
• Supervise, train, and schedule restoration technicians
• Ensure compliance with IICRC standards, safety protocols, and company procedures
• Review estimates, job documentation, and project files for accuracy
• Monitor job costs, labor efficiency, and department performance
• Communicate with homeowners, adjusters, and property managers
• Inspect job sites to ensure quality workmanship and safety
• Maintain readiness of equipment, vehicles, and warehouse inventory
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency losses as needed

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in water mitigation/restoration
• Previous supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of drying science and IICRC standards
• Experience with Xactimate and restoration documentation
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• IICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD, AMRT, FSRT a plus)
• Experience working with insurance claims and adjusters
• Prior department management experience
