Haven of Bridgeport is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our nursing leadership team. This position may be filled by a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with long-term care leadership experience.

Working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), the ADON plays a key role in supporting clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing nursing staff, and promoting a culture of quality care and teamwork.

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will:

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department.

• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to support and enhance the facility's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.

• Help prepare for state surveys and regulatory inspections while maintaining ongoing survey readiness.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff to promote clinical excellence and professional growth.

• Assist with staffing oversight, scheduling support, and nursing department operations as needed.

• Monitor clinical documentation, resident care plans, and nursing practices to ensure quality outcomes.

• Support resident admissions, discharges, and care coordination.

• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on resident-centered care and employee engagement.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Illinois.

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required.

• Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Passion for mentoring staff and delivering exceptional resident care.
