Assistant Nurse Manager

About This Role The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring quality care by managing and leading the staff in alignment with the plan of care and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership skills and a commitment to patient safety and staff development. Highlights Location: Belle Mead, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You'll Do Monitor and assure patient care is provided within a safe and healing environment. Promote a culture of safety, respect, and trust for patients, families, and staff. Act as liaison with Access staff on appropriateness of admissions and EMTALA compliance. Direct and coordinate interventions necessitated by emergency situations. Supervise nursing staff during the respective shift. Obtain emergency medications and supplies from Pharmacy night cabinet in the absence of pharmacist. Assist with chart reviews and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Monitor, investigate, and provide feedback on environmental and safety hazards. Act as an ombudsman for the hospital in response to inquiries and crisis calls. Mentor, coach, and motivate staff regarding performance and appropriate behaviors. Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree and graduate of an accredited RN program Experience Minimum of 3 years psychiatric experience 1 year in a leadership capacity Licenses & Certifications NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License Valid Driver's License from a USA state AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 90 days of entering position Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification preferred IV Therapy preferred About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
