Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Surgical Preparation: Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes based on the surgical procedure.
• Assisting During Surgery: Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures while maintaining a sterile field and environment.
• Equipment Management: Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain surgical instruments and ensure all equipment is fully functional before and during surgery.
• Patient Safety & Sterility: Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control practices to ensure patient safety.
• Post-Surgical Duties: Assist in cleaning the operating room and prepare surgical instruments for sterilization and reprocessing.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA or equivalent (required or able to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Skills & Experience:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
  • Previous OR experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
