Senior Director, Clinical Operations

Xaira Therapeutics seeks an Executive Director of Clinical Operations to establish and lead clinical operations as the company's first programs enter the clinic. This founding role carries accountability for operational strategy, delivery, quality, and cost across the clinical portfolio, reporting to the VP of Early Development.

Responsibilities

• Define clinical operations operating model including internal capabilities and partner relationships
• Lead all aspects of clinical study delivery from start-up through database lock and reporting
• Hire, develop, and manage clinical operations team across trial management and site oversight
• Establish functional metrics and governance reporting on timelines, enrollment, spend, and quality
• Translate development plans into integrated operational strategies for site selection, enrollment, and risk management

Requirements

• Extensive clinical operations leadership experience in biotech or pharma
• Proven ability to build functions from inception and establish operating models
• Deep expertise in clinical trial management, site activation, and study delivery
• Experience translating development strategies into executable operational plans
• Strong financial acumen and ability to develop budgets and resource plans
• Track record hiring and developing high-performing clinical operations teams
