SOC Analyst
Virtual Vocations Inc
Monitoring and responding to cybersecurity threats, the part-time SOC Analyst will investigate security alerts, analyze data from various security platforms, and support incident response efforts in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor, triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts and events Analyze security data from SIEM, EDR, and other security platforms to identify potential incidents Conduct threat hunting activities and perform malware analysis and digital evidence collection Required Qualifications Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response methodologies Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments Familiarity with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools Understanding of common attack techniques and threat detection methodologies
