Marketing and Development Program VISTA 2026

Since 1965, CAST has served low‑income individuals and families on the North Fork of Long Island – an agricultural and tourism community. We are the only non‑profit on the North Fork providing food and wrap‑around services to help at‑risk community members achieve economic security. Our mission is to provide a safety net and promote self‑sufficiency. CAST programs include a food pantry and mobile food pantry, a sharing room, benefit application assistance, and emergency assistance for rent, heat, electricity and other urgent needs. Our wrap‑around services include the North Fork Parent‑Child+ Program, an early literacy and parenting skills program for at‑risk families; ESL; computer, nutrition and citizenship classes; exposure to arts and culture; and job readiness workshops. The VISTA project will build the capacity of CAST by developing and expanding procedures related to our Development events, our two CRM systems, and Content Strategy. An ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, communicate and network efficiently, and possess strong organizational and basic computer skills. VISTA members receive professional development and training opportunities. Member Duties Develop, optimize, document and implement Marketing/Development operations and strategies to expand and support CAST mission. Participate in Development events and partner to execute, optimize and document marketing and fundraising operations. Support EveryAction CRM donor outreach and tracking system and Instrumentl grant management system; document processes and best practices. Conduct research on grant and funding opportunities and update CAST’s library of grant topics and language. Partner with Marketing on Content Strategy, developing procedures and processes for digital asset management.
