Lab Technician (Analytical Laboratory)
Location: Madison Heights, MI 48071 (Onsite)

We are seeking a Lab Technician to join a fast-paced analytical laboratory environment. This position is ideal for candidates with laboratory testing experience who enjoy hands-on work with analytical instrumentation and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing following SOPs, ASTM methods, QC procedures, and established laboratory protocols.
• Prepare and analyze samples using analytical instrumentation.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID, HPLC, and related instruments.
• Review analytical data for accuracy, quality trends, and compliance with testing requirements.
• Document results and maintain records using laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Support laboratory housekeeping, organization, and 5S initiatives.
• Follow all laboratory safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and respond to testing-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Materials Science, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience in an industrial, analytical, environmental, pharmaceutical, chemical, or quality control setting.
• Experience following SOPs, testing procedures, and quality systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to accurately document and preserve laboratory data.
• Comfortable working with chemicals while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ability to stand and work in a laboratory environment for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with one or more of the following:
- ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma)
- IC (Ion Chromatography)
- HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)
- GC-FID (Gas Chromatography)
- XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence)
- SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy)
- • Experience using LIMS systems.
- • Analytical laboratory or quality control laboratory experience.
