Physical Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Acute Care Physical Therapist (PT) to join a dynamic rehabilitation team in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation experience, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient mobility and recovery outcomes. Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT) Location: Lubbock, TX, 79410 Shift: Days Pay: $50-55/hour Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Role Overview The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring mobility, reducing pain, improving functional independence, and supporting safe discharge planning. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and patient assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility training, and rehabilitation interventions Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and rehabilitation-related conditions Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, mobility safety, and recovery plans Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary care teams Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care recommendations Utilize appropriate equipment including gait belts, sliding boards, hospital beds, and mobility aids Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment records within EPIC EMR Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and patient care protocols Requirements Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Physical Therapy experience required Experience with EPIC charting system required Strong experience with orthopedic, neurological, and rehabilitation patient populations Experience with post‑op spinal surgery, total joint replacement, stroke rehab, spinal cord injury, and gait training preferred Knowledge of body mechanics, patient safety, and discharge planning Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced acute care hospital environment Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Accommodations We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to applicants and employees with disabilities.
