The welder lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures. Also welds structural steel to repair damaged structures and perform maintenance on existing metal frameworks.Qualifications:Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing)Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagramsHave a complete set of tools appropriate for Industrial pipe fitting/weldingAbility to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spacesPerform work at heightsAbility to frequently lift and/or move varied objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsPerform and pass pipe coupon weld testPreferred experience:At least 4 years welding preferably in an industrial setting.Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSignMay be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsMust posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified aboveMust be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areasMust have full range of motion consistent with ageMust be able to climb and maintain balance laddersMust be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noisesVisual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfacesSafety/Steel toe shoes are required.
