Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked. Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule. Rolloff Driver – Shank Waste Service, Inc. Lower Burrell, PA Essential Responsibilities: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle. Safely drive and operate a commercial motor vehicle roll-off truck according to the work rules while also abiding by all local, state, and federal laws. Drive to the disposal facility and dispose of the load. Maintain a courteous and cordial manner with all customers encountered on the route. Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a Class A CDL. Must pass a DOT medical exam and drug screen. Must keep both CDL and DOT medical card in good standing. Subject to yearly MVRs. Must pass a road test with a manual transmission as part of the hiring process. Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots. Uniforms are provided after 120 days of successful employment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend or twist, lift or carry as required.
