Job Title Physician Assistant – Hospitalist (Day Position) Location Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY, USA Overview The physician assistant will provide health care services to adult patients including health promotion, care for acute and chronic phases of illness, patient and family education and counseling, and refer patients to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate, according to evidence‑based practice protocols in collaboration with a licensed M.D. Responsibilities Deliver clinical care to adult patients in a hospitalist setting. Participate in health promotion, acute and chronic illness management, and patient/family education. Refer patients to specialists or community resources as needed. Collaborate with licensed M.D.s and other health care staff. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master of Science degree. Certified as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York or Pennsylvania. Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS). Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Physician Assistant (preferred). Ability to remain composed and effective under stress, in emergency situations, and while handling multiple priorities. Working Conditions Full‑time position; shift 1: Monday–Friday, 8:00a.m. – 4:30p.m. No weekend/holiday requirement; no on‑call; scheduled rota. Must work onsite at Olean General Hospital. Compensation & Benefits Bi‑weekly pay. Salary range: $46.15 – $66.67 per hour (wage determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity).
