The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, competitive, and excited by the opportunity to be the first person to tackle a problem. You should have the flexibility to partner with teams from across the business, such as translating engineering and supply-chain challenges into quantitative performance measures and financial solutions. Foremost, you should be energized to support a defense aviation company that is redefining the pace of hardware R&D in the 21st century.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end financial models for products and business lines, with responsibility to gather and sanitize data across the businessDevelop novel financial frameworks to support strategic decisions across manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, and other functionsExecute rapid, scrappy, “80% fidelity” analyses on short timelines that later feed into scalable, long-term solutionsCreate transparency into manufacturing costs alongside FP&A, and explore cost reduction roadmaps for major initiativesMaintain competitive landscape databases and target screening to identify emerging opportunities and threatsSupport investor relations functions, including drafting of executive & board level materialsPartner with Advanced Development, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Growth functions to provide financial support for multi-year endeavors and proposalsRequirements1-3 years of experience in one or more of the following: corporate finance, investment banking, FP&A, consulting, or relevant finance roles at a high-growth hardware or manufacturing startupBachelor’s degree from an accredited US institution, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field preferredStrong preference for experience or demonstrated interest in aerospace and defense industry, government contracting, or other highly regulated fieldAdvanced proficiency in Excel, including dynamic financial models and scenario analysesWillingness to learn and engage with corporate ERP & FP&A systems (Netsuite, Manufacturo, Adaptive)Demonstrated ability to thrive in a past-paced, dynamic startup environmentSelf-starter comfortable working in a hybrid work environment, where many teams members will be located in cross-continent settingsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers, internal engineer & test teams, and suppliers effectivelyU.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident status$110,000 - $145,000 a yearThe salary range listed for this role is intended as a general guideline.
