Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society.Job SummaryThe McCoy lab combines wet bench research, clinical trials, and a specialized clinic structure to support a comprehensive Sjogren's disease program. The successful applicant will be part of the McCoy lab led by Dr. Sara McCoy and focuses on bench to bedside translation of our findings to improve the lives of our Sjogren's patients. The candidate will lead and manage patient triage into our clinical program, coordinate complex care of our patients, and provide comprehensive after visit summaries collating all subspecialty findings and recommendations. This comprehensive clinical coordination is a linchpin to our program that weds clinical care to bench work and back to novel translational treatment to patients (to bench and back again). They will manage clinical research studies, performing a variety of tasks and activities: recruit, screen, select, determine eligibility, and aid enrolling study participants and ensuring subjects follow the research protocol. Develop study-related documents. Applies expertise, knowledge, and skills to a broad range of different types of clinical studies, navigates resources, and identifies issues needing escalation.
