Senior Plumbing Estimator

An established heating, cooling and plumbing services provider are looking for an experienced Plumbing Estimator

The company is seeking a Plumbing Estimator to prepare accurate, well-reasoned plumbing estimates for commercial, multifamily, and institutional construction projects. The estimator will support preconstruction efforts by defining scope, pricing labor and material, and articulating risk prior to bid submission. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret project scope, blueprints, and specifications
• Utilize on-screen estimating software for project takeoffs
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
• Analyze project schedule & requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors for pricing and scope clarification
• Maintain and update a database of unit costs and vendor pricing
• Assist in developing bid packages for prospective clients

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in plumbing estimating or a combination of estimating and field experience. 
• Working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and applicable National Plumbing Code provisions. 
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Quotesoft, Accubid, etc) and advanced Excel. 
• Ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and recognize incomplete or ambiguous documentation. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document assumptions and scope accurately.
